principle 4, ITERATION

Iteration is the cyclic design process this means "the act of repeating a process usually with the aim of approaching a desired goal or target or result. Each repetition of the process is also called an "iteration," and the results of one iteration are used as the starting point for the next iteration" for me this is an interesting principle as it is visual, uses creative thinking which leads to experimentation and eventually the desired goal. To find and develop answers, requires a   repeating sequence of thought, action and evaluation. this means that an idea can't just be thought up instantly but has to be rich in skilled thought and knowledge. when designing the product it has to be constantly questioned , 'can it work better, can it look better'. Iteration generates new questions with each new idea makes new answers to solve and this in effect can roll into an even better idea than the one from the start. From my early photography journals, in order to obtain my idea I had to iterate my final projects to see which would look the best. I would draw how I wanted to display my photos and then on the next page would be a contrasted way and so on until I achieved the best results. for the magazine we will be testing the different types of styles that will work with our idea, this might be a long and lengthy process but the final outcome will have gained from this type of research.
